Asustek to Unveil its Nvidia Ion 2-based Eee PC in AprilThe latest report out of the Far East reported that Asustek Computer will unveil an Nvidia Ion 2-powered Eee PC in April 2010, along with a line up of netbooks through the year.

Asustek currently tags its Atom N270-based Eee PCs to be placed in the NT$10,000 (US$313) segment. While, the company's N280 model is positioned for NT$13,000, and N450 models for NT$14,000-16,000.

In addition, the company will also have a 12-inch Eee PC for the NT$17,000-19,000 segment.

In accordance to DigiTimes, Asus is coming up with an Eee PC netbook with Ion 2 graphics in April, signifying that we could be witnessing one of the first little laptops with an applaud able capability of powering through full HD Flash video.

Asus is launching an Ion 2 powered Eee Top in the UK this Spring, however, this will be its first portable with the new graphics for low power machines.

As Atom N270 and N280-based models will land on the market, Atom N450 models are speculated to drop to near about, at NT$14,000, by the end of the second quarter.

Asustek's 10-inch rotatable touchscreen Eee PC T101 will be available late February.
