New Sonata Model to Help Hyundai Continue as Industry Leader

Hyundai's best selling and most popular sedan, the midsize Sonata, is all set to move into its newest generation this month when it makes a grand appearance as an early 2011 model.

The will be the manufacturer's second model in its endeavor to bring seven all-new models to the market over a 2 year period, which would create a product renaissance for the South Korean Hyundai.

The newest Sonata was unveiled by the firm recently at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and this is the second vehicle which has managed to receive the new Hyundai "fluidic sculpture" design theme, which was first introduced in the redesigned 2010 Tucson compact crossover.

Sonata, which is the company's most popular model, recorded a sales rise of 52% in November 2009, as compared to the same month last year.

The 2011 Sonata will be powered by the very latest 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 198 horsepower and 184 foot-pounds of torque, which is much above what the other competitors in the segment are offering. It also promises to increase fuel efficiency.

The company also has great expectations from the new model and is eagerly looking forward to its official launch.
