Israeli hackers take down Saudi Arabia stock exchange and UAE stock exchange websites

Israeli hackers take down Saudi Arabia stock exchange and UAE stock exchange websites In what apparently was a retaliatory move against the Monday attack on the Tel Aviv stock exchange website and Israeli airline El Al's website by Saudi hackers, an Israeli hacking group took down the websites of the stock exchanges in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday.

According to a report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the hacking attack on the websites of the Saudi Arabia stock exchange (Tadawul) and the United Arab Emirates stock exchange (ADX) was launched by a group of Israeli hackers who call themselves the IDF-Team.

As per the report, with the hacking attack by the IDF-Team paralyzing the Tadawul website and causing significant delays on the ADX website, there are indications galore that the ongoing cyber-war between the Saudi and Israeli hackers has intensified.

The cyber-war between the hackers of the two countries has already witnessed a number of Arab and Israeli hacking groups launching attacks and counter-attacks, and posting Facebook information and email account details over the last few weeks.

Terming the hack of the Tadawul and ADX websites as a move stemming from the "pathetic" hacking of Israeli sites on Monday, one of the members of the IDF-Team warned in a pastebin post to the Arab hackers: "If the lame attacks from Saudi Arabia will continue, we will move to the next level which will disable these sites longer term may come to weeks or even months. You have been warned."
