The "best" of the VGAs: new Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite trailers, and Tony Hawk HD

The "best" of the VGAs: new Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite trailers, and Tony Hawk HD Despite the fact that the majority of the SpikeTV's 2011 video game awards handed out at the confusingly-titled Video Game Awards (VGAs) were given off-screen, there still were some best trailers and videos from the show which managed to grab attention.

While the show did have some embarrassing moments, there was no taking away from the show's chief aim pertaining to the marketing of new games, with exciting new trailers, announcements, and content having been showcased effectively.

With some of the major players marking their debut during the VGAs on SpikeTV, it has been reported that the `best' of the VGAs included Mass Effect 3; Bioshock Infinite trailers; and Tony Hawk HD. Some other titles highlighted at the show included Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance; The Last of Us; and Fortnite.

It has interestingly been reported that all of Mass Effect 3 and BioShock Infinite previewed in-game footage; and that the forerunner text in The Last of Us featured the mention that the title was all taken from the hardware of Sony's PlayStation 3 gaming console --- with the glut being a clear indication of the fact that there apparently are no limits to which technology can be pushed in the present-day gaming age.

Meanwhile, some of the contenders for sequel trailers that made it to the surface at the show were Transformers: Fall of Cybertron; Diablo III; and the forthcoming XBL title Alan Wake, as well as a few others.
