Leaked HTC Ville image reveals ultra-thin Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset

Leaked HTC Ville image reveals ultra-thin Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset With an earlier-this-month exposé from BGR having already given the first indication of the HTC Ville handset, a new and notably more elaborate description of the smartphone has recently surfaced on the Internet, revealing that the Ville will probably be the slimmest handset from HTC.

Going by the new details that have leaked online, the thin, less than 8mm, the HTC Ville - which is being rumored to hit the markets in February next year - will be powered by a dual-core processor and will be equipped with the brand new Android iteration, the Android 4.0 `Ice Cream Sandwich' version. The device will also seemingly run HTC Sense 4.0 atop the Android operating system.

Some of the most compelling features of the HTC Ville include a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor; a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with qHD resolution; and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera that boasts higher-quality optics with the capability of 1080p HD video capture.

In addition, HSPA+ connectivity, support for Beats Audio, as well as a decent sized 1,650 mAh battery, are a few of the other noteworthy specifications of the ultra-thin HTC Ville.

It is also being assumed that the HTC Ville will apparently be launched with a new name, as Ville is reportedly only a code name for the device. To be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in mid-February, the shipments of the new HTC handset will likely begin in April.
