Singapore’s Housing & Development Board (HDB) on Thursday announced seven build-to-order (BTO) projects that will offer a total of 4,200 new flats.
The projects have been announced for Bedok, Bukit Panjang, Hougang, Punggol and Yishun. New projects include Golden Cassia in Bedok town, Acacia Breeze in Yishun, and Fajar Spring in Bukit Panjang town.
Flats available under the latest launch ranges from studio and two-room flats to five-room flats.
According to the released statement, the selling price of the new flats range between S$75,000 for a studio unit at Fajar Spring to S$352,000 for a five-room unit at Hougang Dew Court. The figures exclude Government grants.
The statement also revealed that at least 95 per cent of the flats, excluding studio units, will be reserved for first-time buyers.
Just two months back, the HDB offered 8,200 new flats to Singaporeans. The new projects bring the total number of BTO flats offered so far this year to 25,200.
Earlier in 2009 and 2010, HDB offered around 9,000 and 16,100 Build-To-Order flats respectively.
