Singapore, Malaysia PMs to meet in December Shortly after a bilateral meeting between the Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and his Malaysian counterpart Muhyiddin Yassin on Tuesday, it was disclosed to the media that the Prime Ministers of the two countries would probably have another retreat meeting in December, in Kuala Lumpur.

Teo said that his Tuesday meeting with Yassin focused on a number of key issues, including an improvement in the flow of people as well as goods between Singapore and Malaysia, along with promoting exchanges between the people of the two countries via areas like education and business development.

In addition, the discussions between Teo and Yassin also related to a progress report on the iconic projects that Khazanah Nasional and Singapore's Temasek Holdings are carrying out.

Meanwhile, Muhyiddin told the media that Singapore has now outshined China to emerge as Malaysia's biggest trading partner. He also said that he is hopeful that the ties between Singapore and Malaysia will be strengthened further, particularly in tourism development and other similar spheres --- largely because of the fact that possibilities like joint cruises between Singapore and Johor can be worked upon.

With Muhyiddin already having been given an update, earlier in the day, on the Singaporean's plans pertaining to tourism development, he noted that, for the tourism industry in Singapore, the last year - 2010 - was an extremely good one!
