Fire at Shell Refinery in SingaporeAsian Buyers were raising the issue of fall in the level of output at Royal Dutch Shell PLC's (RDSB) Singapore refinery. The reason for the decline in the output is the fire that had set out at the refinery on Wednesday and was still burning following two intervals.

The Company has closed many of its refinery centers, and has also closed work of hydrocracker that produces gasoil. The move has raised the process of oil in the market and the market doubted that the company will not be supplying abundant quantity of oil after the incident.

The closure has affected oil segment around the globe, because it is one of the largest oil stores in the world. The incident has taken place twice in recent times and the sources reveal that the firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire.

Also, the National Environment Agency of Singapore was closely examining the quality of air that is suspected to get polluted with the fire at the refinery. So far, the air has not been found contaminated with toxic gases. So far, no cases of wounded have been reported, but Shell revealed 6 firefighters incurred external wounds, with two fire engines completely destroyed while fighting the fire.
