On Friday a minister has claimed that the maximum attacks on the government and private websites are done by the local hackers.
On Thursday there were attacks on at least 91 websites followed online threats. These threats were given thorough Internet. The hackers named the “Anonymous” group have said that they would disrupt a Malaysian government portal for protesting against Internet censorship.
It was found that in last four days 200 websites were attacked and 90 percent of them were attacked by locals. Science, technology and innovation minister Maximus Ongkili has stated that the authorities were in the process of identifying them.
National news agency Bernama quoted him saying that they have come to know that most of the hackers were locals, instead of being from abroad.
While the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have revealed that on Thursday 91 websites were disrupted and 51 of them were government sites.
Yesterday it was said by the commission, Malaysia's Internet watchdog that the numbers of attacks were decreasing and most of the websites which were attacked had been recovered.
