China willing to boost ties with Indonesia and ASEAN, says WenBeijing has made its mind in boosting boost cooperation in trade and security in the company of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) as stated by the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao on Saturday. Wen is the current chair of Asean and its biggest member. He was in a tour to Indonesia for three days. In a policy speech on the last day of a three-day visit to Indonesia, Wen adorned the virtues of an Asean- China free trade agreement (FTA) which was started from this January.

China is strongly keen to have the practical cooperation with Asean as stated by Wen.

According to him, China became Asean's biggest trading partner in the previous year. They have made the establishment of the largest FTA among developing countries.

Moreover they have made plans to set the target of $500 billion in mutual trade by 2015.

Wen was confident that China will amplify the capacity building and human resources training for having quick development in the poorest Asean members.

He added that China has made its mind to join hands with Asean for maintaining regional security and stability.

Jakarta wants to have again talks for its part of the landmark free trade agreement. It wants to protect vulnerable sectors from having challenges with Chinese manufacturers.
