The president of the Japanese automaker has said on Friday that Toyota Motor had a disruption in its production levels. It would take time to return in its normal level, perhaps by the end of this year.
A Japanese car company has said that the given time frame was the longest till now. It has said in the view of continued effects of the supply chain disruptions. These disruptions were caused by last month’s destructive quake and tsunami.
17 plants of the Toyota in Japan were unharmed by the recent tragedy of earthquake and tsunami. However these plants were safe but the work and productions of it were only half of the total.
This week Toyota had specified that its Japanese operations would remain at half-speed till 1st week of June. It is hoping not to cross beyond the June.
On Tuesday the company has disclosed that it would cut production at its North American plants by 75 percent in the next six weeks. This was done to save its limited supply of parts made in Japan.
