Cos related to oil spill fight in court not outside it

bpAll the companies that had been involved with the BP's oil spill are looking for ways wherein they could blame the other for the disaster. But when it comes to outside the court environment, then they are joined with each other with some or the other kind of endeavor and it is for sure that they their co-operation is going to outlive the litigation.

On the suing front, BP sued drilling contractor Transocean Ltd along with cement provider Halliburton Co. (HAL) and Cameron International Corp. (CAM), the blowout preventer for providing with bad material which made it impossible to contain the gush of oil soon. Responding to the same, the companies in turn sued BP and their fellow contractors.

All these filing of lawsuits are seen more of legal maneuver and have been done to mark the anniversary of the worst crisis in US corporate history. But, on the same hand, the companies are sure that they have to work with each other and that have to anyhow limit their animosities to the Deepwater Horizon case only.

But looking at the way the things are shaping up, it has for sure put a question mark on the working of oil industry.
