If anyone is planning to purchase the 623 cc Tata Nano this Diwali, then all you need is to shell out more. Tata Motors on Friday stated out that they shall be taking a small price hike on Nano to neutralize the sheer increase in input costs.
The standard elevation in the cost of a base model Nano, which was costing earlier Rs 1 lakh wonder but costs now about Rs 1.34 lakh for the same average model, shall be increased by approximately Rs 9,000 ex-showroom, an increase of approximately about 6.70 % on the base price. Moreover, with extra costs like RTO, insurance, and octroi the cost on the road shall grew effectively.
Fascinatingly this is the 2nd time that the firm has increased the price after its high profile opening. About 3 months earlier it had raised the cost of Nano by about 4 %.
Right now for a Tata Nano base model, ex-showroom in Kochi would be costing around Rs 1.34 lakh, the RTO charges comes out to approximately Rs 11,500 and further insurance of another Rs 5,000 making the total cost of the car to approximately Rs 1,50,500.
