With strong second quarter results Ashok Leyland may go up  The Power Grid Corporation of India saw a rise of forty one decimal six two percent in its net profit net profit reaching six hundred and fifty one decimal four zero crores of rupees as it grew by twenty five percent and touched the figure of two thousand one hundred and twenty six decimal six three crores of rupees in the second quarter of 2010 compared to the second quarter of 2009.  

Ashok Leyland recorded a net profit of one hundred and sixty seven decimal zero six crores of rupees which is a rise by eighty eight decimal five three percent.  

The growth in sales is in the tune of seventy two decimal zero seven percent in the second quarter of this fiscal compared to the second quarter of 2009 and firm recorded two thousand seven hundred and thirteen decimal nine five crores of rupees in sales.  

On Wednesday Tata Chemicals stated that it is in negotiation on share purchase deal for acquiring cent percent of stakes in Grown Energy,(PTY) (GEL), a South African firm for an amount of one decimal one zero billion dollars. Grown Energy explores opportunities in Mozambique to find bio fuel.  

The unit II, of the power plant having one thirty five megawatt production capacity of Jindal Steel and Power which is located in the Dongamahua of district Raigarh of Chhattisgarh is getting stabilized.  

The plant was synchronized on 23, September 2010.

The plant now can generate the full amount of one hundred and t5hirty five megawatt power. After the trial, which will be held shortly, the plant will start generating power for commercial purposes in a full swing.  

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizer Company saw a net profit of sixty three decimal nine six crores of rupees which is a rise of five decimal four four percent. The company in sales grew four decimal six percent from the previous year and reached an amount of eight hundred and one decimal eight five crores of rupees in the Q2 of 2010.
