Auto major, Tata motors may launch three new vehicles by next year in order to gain more customers and strengthen its position in the highly competitive Indian market.
The company might be planning to launch a premium SUV based on the same platform and a new version of Safari by early next year. According to some company officials, the premium SUV will be built on the X2 platform.
The company will also launch a multi-utility vehicle. Tata Motors Passenger Car Business Unit Utility Vehicles Product Group Head S G Saksena expressed that the company will launch a eight-seater van based on Tata Ace platform next month.
Meanwhile, the country’s biggest vehicle maker is considering exporting its recently launched SUV, Aria to other countries from India. According to Mr. Saksena, the company might start exporting the SUV in the next six months to European and SAARC countries. Aria SUV will be available in 65 dealership networks across 22 cities.
