Good news for M1 customers! Today Nokia and M1 have collaborated with the aim of providing a new, easy-to-use email service to M1 customers. The customers will be able to enjoy push email service on the go, at a very low price due to the Nokia Messaging service.
It should be noted that if M1 customers subscribe for any of the bundled data plans specially customized for this service, then they would be the first in Singapore to use Nokia Messaging on more than 20 Nokia handset model, at a low cost.
To trace an example, M1 customers can sign up for the SunSurf Lite data plan, at just 5.35 SGD per month, which is bundled with 20MB of free data, to enjoy Nokia Messaging with any of the designated Nokia handsets.
Via this collaboration between Nokia and M1, the M1 customers will be permitted to have their email pushed directly to their Nokia handsets from popular email service providers like Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail. Furthermore, the service also works with local Internet service providers, such as Pacific Internet, Cyberway and Qala.
Vlasta Berka, General Manager, Nokia Singapore, Malaysia & Brunei said: "With this service, Nokia and M1 aim to respond to the growing consumer demand to be able to access their email accounts directly on the Nokia device whenever they want, wherever they want. Nokia Messaging eliminates all the factors that have been barriers to mobile email adoption: it is easy to access and set up, it is easy to use and one can have up to 10 email accounts per device per subscriber. The idea is to make mobile email and messaging available to everyone."
Nokia Messaging would allow the users to set up their accounts in three simple steps. Via the push email technology, the users can be sure that emails are sent to the mobile device as soon as they arrive at the mail server.
