Sony is set to launch its new motion control device ‘Move’ for PlayStation to compete with the popular Wii in the market.
Wii, which is less powerful than both Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3, has emerged as most popular home console due to its simplicity. Sony is aiming to change that with the introduction of Move, which will incorporate better games with enhanced graphics.
Move will come with PlayStation Eye camera compatible with all generations of the PlayStation 3 consoles including some through the firmware update. The company claims that it will offer a gaming experience for not only the enthusiasts but for the entire family.
Move motion control device with an orb and the precision PlayStation Eye camera offer a complete gaming experience as the Sony PlayStation 3 offers better graphics than similar products. The device also offers enhanced sensitivity and accuracy to the gamers.
Move is a wandlike wireless controller which the users move in order to produce action on screen. The fundamental accuracy and sensitivity to twisting and turning in three dimensions in Move is much better than in Wii.
However, Move is priced higher than its rival as a package with Move controller, camera, the Sports Champions game is priced at $99.99 and additional controller for multi player costs another $49.99. The secondary navigation controller which is needed some games costs $29.99. An optional charging station is priced at $29.99.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is also planning to release its gaming device called, Kinect for its X-Box 360 next month in order to compete in the market with Wii as well as the newly launched Move.
