Healthcare business of one Hong Kong firm has been purchased by Fortis

fortis healthcareThe shares of Fortis Healthcare saw an intraday high of one hundred and seventy six rupees and ninety five paisa and witnessed low of one hundred and seventy three rupees and twenty paisa within the same day.

At around two minutes past nine in the morning the shares were seen trading at one hundred and seventy five rupees and seventy five paisa ,which is an increment of two decimal seven two percent equivalent to four rupees and sixty five paisa.

The company was trading with a total volume of thirty four thousand nine hundred and fifty two shares The shares ,on Friday, touched the closing price of one hundred and seventy one rupees and ten paisa which is three rupees and forty paisa more per share or two decimal zero three percent.

Fortis has purchased a health care business of Quality Healthcare Asia, based in Hong Kong for an amount of eight hundred and eighty two crores of rupees as per the reports given by CNBC-TV18.

On Sunday the firm had issued one statement saying that with the deal done, Malvinder Mohan Singh and Shivinder Mohan Singh promoted Fortis is set to achieve its dream of setting up a Pan-Asia healthcare business.

Under the said deal five auxiliary firms of Quality Healthcare Asia would be purchased by Fortis Global Healthcare. The original and old Healthcare business of QHA is not coming under the deal.

By striking the deal Fortis will get a business network of QHA which has sixty fully owned medical centres, forty or more physiotherapy and dental centers, more than five hundred clinics affiliated to QHA alongside of a private nursing agency which keeps a database of nurses amounting to three thousand or more nurses.
