On Tuesday, the Singapore Tourism Board said that previous month, Singapore acknowledged 845,000 tourists, a fall by 0.5% from last year.

The board told that the arrivals increased by 5.8% from the month of September.
Compared to year earlier period, the arrivals have increased the first time this year in September.
In the month of October, the tourist visits from Indonesia, which accounts for 16 percent of Singapore's total, dropped by 13% while at the same time arrivals from China, Australia and Malaysia increased.
The Q3 saw a recovery in Singapore economy, which depends upon trade, finance and tourism.
This year, the government is looking forward for the economy to reduce up to 2.5% and increase between 3% and 5%.
The board explained that in October the hotel revenue decreased by 24% to $135 million Singapore dollars ($97 million) as hotels cut room rates by 24 percent to attract customers.
In the month of October, the room occupancy rate was 83% which is the highest this year.
