Leading handset maker, Nokia has announced the launch of its new smartphone, Nokia C3 in the Indian market.
The C3 touch and type smartphone combines the design of a touchscreen and 12-button phone keypad. The phone has the features of both a touchscreen and a normal phone and it is similar to X3 Touch and Type from the company.
Nokia C3 runs on Symbian Series 40 OS and has a 2.4 inche screen with a resolution of 240x320 pixels. The handset also features a 5 MP camera with LED flash and it has a micro-SD memory card slot which supports expandable memory of up to 32 GB.
As for connectivity solutions it offers, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity along with Bluetooth with 2.0 ADP. The handset also has the company’s e-mail and instant messaging software, Nokia Messaging 3.0 and access to social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter. Users will also be able to access third party apps from Nokia’s Ovi Store.
Nokia C3, which was unveiled at Nokia World 2010 event, will have silver, warm grey and khaki gold colors. The handset is expected to be available in the India market by mid October and will be priced at around Rs. 9000.
