'Flu Shot Finder' to Help People Locate H1N1 Vaccines Easily Launched by Google
H1N1 Vaccines

Google, which has always been a cut above the rest when it comes to going that extra mile to help people who turn to it for an answer, has once again come up with a solution aimed at making things for people searching for H1N1 vaccines easier. To combat the unusually high vaccine demands for the flu, the company has introduced a 'flu shot finder' which can be accessed at www. google. com/flushot. The portal provides searchers with location of clinics offering vaccines for the H1N1 flu.

To begin with, the service, which works like Google Maps, has added clinics from 20 states. But the company has pledged that it will continue to add more centers till it has listed all vaccine providers across all 50 American states.

In order to find a location closest to home, searchers just have to enter the ZIP Code or the name of the city and Google will provide a list all neighboring centers offering vaccines. Google explains, "Clinics offering H1N1 shots are blue. Those offering seasonal shots are red. And those providing both are half red and half blue".

To provide accurate information, Google has joined hands with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the Department of Health and Human Services. Google has, however, been quick to assert that the center listed might be out-of-stock so searchers are advised to call ahead.
