Spil Games has claimed of making use of HTML5 based web technology to offer mobile versions for its existing gaming titles. The report released by the Mobile Entertainment, the firm infamous for offering world’s largest web-based casual game service has brought out the HTML 5 technology to offer mobile based versions of its 47 gaming portals.
The chief executive officer for Spil Games, Peter Driessen, stated; “We made games for iPhone, but it wasn't really scalable for our business. We want games that can spread easily over different properties, so we were looking for something that could enable us to bring games cross-platform."
Driessen claimed that the present HTML5 is more of the recent versions of Flash Player, however, it offers a out of the world experience for gaming needs with respect to browser and the Chief is sure of the fact that the technology will replace Flash in a very short duration. Spil games will soon be offering a competition to help create game offerings with the current technology and also the winner of the HTML5 Developer Contest will get an award of $50,000.
