Hewlett-Packard has announced the launch of its new lightweight HP Mini 210 with a host of vibrant colors.
The laptop comes with flashy new color skins and runs on Intel's newest chip technology that enhances performance without extra stress on the battery. The laptop weighs only 3-pound and the company claims that it offers a battery life of 10.75 hours with a six-cell battery.
It features for the first time the dual-core Atom processor, Intel's 1.5GHz Atom N550 that has a thermal envelope only 8.5 watts which is only two more watts than its single-core N455. The heat resistance is even better when considered that the device includes 200MHz graphics chip built on the same piece of silicon as the processor.
The HP Mini 210 is available in the US and is priced at $329.
Meanwhile the company also announced HP Pavilion dm3 laptop powered by Intel Core i series chip with enhanced heat resistance mechanism. The "intelligent" software, advanced materials, and strategically placed vents allow the device to stay cool.
The device uses Intel's Core i3-330UM processor while 1.2GHz 32-nanometer processor integrates a 45-nanometer graphics chip and thermal elope 18 watts. The company claims that the laptop has a battery life of 7.5 hours.
