The retail chain of France, Carrefour has reported a net profit of 67 million euros in the first six months of this year compared to a net loss of 48 million euros in the same time period of last year.
Carrefour is known to be one of the largest retailers in all across the globe. The company has been working hard to attract more number of customers by slashing its prices in its key markets like the western part of Europe. Since Mr. Lars Olofsson had joined the company as its chief executive, the company dedicatedly tried to expand its 40% of market share in the France.
The sales of the retailer rose up to 43.7 billion euros in the first six months of this year after Lars joined the company. Carrefour is the second largest retailer in the world next to Wall Mart in terms of revenue.
The company has made the budget oriented price ranges available to the customers and also introduced a babysitting service in its store to attract customers to back in to its stores. The company is giving its 100% to encourage the customers and expand its business.
