An Indian firm, Vortex Engineering has features on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) list of Technology Pioneers that includes 31 of the most innovative technology firms from around the world.
Vortex Engineering focuses on offering banking services to the rural masses through its low power and low cost Automatic Teller Machines (ATM). The forum received 330 applications from around the world and a panel of 68 global technology experts prepared the list with the most innovative firms.
The list is mostly crowded by firms working in the areas of clean and green technologies.
Aster Data, Digital Lumens, Ecovative Design, Ferrate Treatment Technologies, Ion Torrent are some of the other firms included on the list.
