Bajaj Electricals wins orders, shares touch new high

bajajBajaj Electricals has been able to win record number of orders and as a result its shares went up and touched new high during the day.

The total worth of the order was rupees 408 crore and the price of the shares went up by 2.65 per cent in the morning itself.

After this, the company was quick to order fresh orders during the trading hours on September 1.

Bajaj said that it managed to secure the project which is considered to be very prestigious. It involves the construction of 312 KMs of 400 KV double-circuit transmission lines, Village Electrification (BPL). It will come under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidhyutikaran Yojna and also the High mast & Street Lightening segments.

The total equity capital of the company is rupees 19.64 crore and each share has a face value of rupees 2.

Post the deal, the total value of the order book went past rupees 1150 crore. This is 0.5 times more than what it could sell for the year ending March 2010. The total sales during last year was rupees 2228.63 crore.
