Vodafone warns of BlackBerry disruption

vodafone blackberryWarnings have been circulated amongst the subscribers by Vodafone, one of the prominent cell phone operators, regarding the interruption of the messaging and electronic mail facilities beyond August 31st owing to the time limit of august 31st set by the Government of India to Blackberry handsets manufacturer Research In Motion in case the access to the safely encoded messages and emails is not provided to the Indian security officials.

This word of caution came from Vodafone after the government affirmed that the chances of RIM providing a solution to the safety apprehensions are very vague.

Meanwhile, the mobile phone operator has ensured the customers that it is putting in its best efforts to arrange for some way out of the blockage of the facilities by itself also.

Vodafone has also confirmed that this warning has been spread by it under the guidelines of the Ministry of Telecommunication itself. While Vodafone has assured that it would keep its customers up to date with any new development regarding the solution, Bharti Airtel, on the other hand, has not come up with any recommendation to its customers in view of the ambiguity prevailing regarding the fundamental service areas provided by Blackberry.
