Microsoft has announced the official launch date of the latest Wireless N Adaptor for the XBox 360 as November 26. Costco had accidently displayed the unit a week ago, causing Microsoft to speed up its launch. The device is now officially available at NewEgg, Costco and other online retailer stores.
Microsoft has shared that the new gadget will provide much more bandwidth than the presently offered line of 802.11g adapters, and while the speed will be amped up by as much as 7 times, the range will be doubled. Interesting features of the wireless adapter include MIMO (multiple in, multiple out) and two antennas to ensure a much stronger signal.
The company has confirmed that it will be discontinuing the sale of the older adapter model, and the new wireless device will be sold at a price between US$88 and $100.
