Hewlett-Packard (HP) will soon be offering the data storage technology firm 3PAR for $24 per share, or $1.6 billion.
The statement pronounced by the firm claims that the prices released by HP are approximately 33.3 per cent more than those claimed by the Dell. The latter in an out-bid to sell rival Dell will be offering 3PAR for $1.15 billion last week.
HP claimed that the price quoted by the firm's board and, if 3PAR's board readies to go by the same by the end of calendar year will mark the beginning of deal.
The firm offers plans to have 3PAR's storage technology that comes with Converged Storage Infrastructure, which also enables users to get in through the state-of-the-art storage solutions on HP servers and data centres.
Dave Donatelli, the head of HP's server division, through a statement stated: "HP's proposal offers superior value to 3PAR's shareholders. Our global reach, strong routes to market and commitment to innovation uniquely position HP as the ideal fit for 3PAR."
