Intel, Nokia and the University of Oulu have claimed that soon to be pronounced a joint research program which will soon be releasing software for virtual reality and 3D features on mobile platforms.
It is also said that soon Intel and Nokia will be developing the 3D and virtual reality software for the jointly operated open source MeeGo mobile operating system, which will be released for the Nokia based device.
The latest reports claim as stated by the Computer World, 24 people are working on developing the technology for MeeGo. The firm has stated that the software might be released for various other platforms in the recent future.
An insight laid by the officials at the University of Oulu claimed that Intel supposedly is the best partner known to be working on tasks such as telecommunications, photonics and electronics.
Mika Setala, the director of partnerships at Nokia through a statement stated: "3D and virtual worlds have the potential to revolutionise the [mobile] user experience."
Also it is considered to be one of the first few companies described by the firms which contains a virtual control panel aimed for a mobile device which aides in regulating lighting and heating in the real world.
