Report on Facebook “Dislike” button scam

facebookFacebook has warned users of the scam which is being spread by the latest installation of the app “Dislike” button.

The social networking platform calls it to be an act which is a disapproval of the “Like” button meant for users. This does mean that the scammers can easily be able to access profiles and at the same time post status update with a link that can snatch the information.

Graham Cluley, security expert at Sophos claims it to be like: “I just got the Dislike button, so now I can dislike all of your dumb posts lol!!”

This new form of scam tries to pull an individual into an online survey in order to have the special button tagged.

The survey in actuality is the original scam which helps generate revenue for the developers.

Soon after activating the button one can have a free Firefox add-on by FaceMod. In true sense it is a Dislike button which has got nothing to do with scammers, as the reports of Sophos confirm.
