Lenovo has announced to introduce its latest Y-series of notebooks comprises of the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y560. These notebooks support new range of multimedia and are available at a starting price of Rs 46235 in India.
Specifications attached with the IdeaPad Y460 are its 14 inch HD LED screen display, operates on Intel Core i5 processor. The notebook is loaded with Windows 7 and many more software's. In terms of its physical appearance, its measurements are 340 X 20-33 X 235mm and it weighs 2.2 kg.
It is also loaded with 1.3 MP integrated camera. Talking about its connectivity options, it has 3 USB ports, one card slot, one multi card reader slot, Mic-in, headphone, and HDMI.
The Ideapad Y460 comes with a 6 cell battery which is capable of running it up to 5 hours. It has an internal memory up to 8GB DDR3 DRAM and has a storage capacity up to 320 GB.
Whereas Ideapad Y560 has 15 inch display screen and run on Inter Core processor. In terms of its connectivity it includes HD5730 1GB graphics card, an optional Blu-ray Disc drive, as well as an HDMI output which enables it to connect to other HD devices.
Similar to Y460, Ideapad Y560 is also configured with 8 GB DDR3 memory but has an extra storage capacity of 750GB HDD. In addition it is also equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity.
The one most talked about feature of the Lenevo Y series is its theatre feature which holds JBL speakers, Dolby Headphone technology, and multi-touch touchpad that change the entire movie experience. Some of the security features of these Ideapads are Lenovo Veriface Face recognition technology and One-Key rescue system.
