Lenovo introduces Y series with two notebooks

notebooksPC maker, Lenovo has announced the launch of two new notebooks named Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 in the new line up called the Y-Series.

Both the devices features a host of advanced features from the comoany as well as other vendors like Lenovo Veriface Face recognition technology and One-Key rescue system along with JBL speakers, Dolby Headphone technology, and multi-touch touchpad.

The first, IdeaPad Y460 features a 14 inch HD LED screen and has the dimensions of 340 X 20-33 X 235mm with a weight of 2.2 kg. It is powered by Intel Core i5 processor and runs on Windows 7 operating system.

It has a 1.3MP inbuilt web camera and has a memory up to 8GB DDR3 DRAM with 320GB of storage capacity. AS for connectivity solutions it offers 3 USB ports, one card slot, one multi card reader slot, Mic-in, headphone, and HDMI support. The 6 cell battery in the notebook runs for about five hours.

The other notebook, IdeaPad Y560 sports has a bit larger 15 inch display screen. It is powered by Inter Core processor with ATI Radeon HD5730 1GB graphics card, an optional Blu-ray Disc drive. Users can also connect HD devices with the notebook using a HDMI output.

The device has a 8GB DDR3 with an additional storage of 750GB HD. The device also has support for Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth.

The notebooks are available across the country on Lenovo retail outlets and Multi brand digital lifestyle retail chains and will are priced in the range of Rs. 46,235.
