It has been figured out that thirteen thousand people are stranded abroad with the collapse of a travel firm yesterday but the assurance of their returning home as planned has been stated.
Over sixty thousand people’s holiday plans got ruined after UK based Flight Options along with Kiss Flights folded.
A grim atmosphere of fear hovers on the air with closures of Kiss Flights which is the second in this week and the third in this month. People are apprehensive that more collapses will happen in the coming autumn with summer season coming to an end.
Last week Sun4U had folded and Goldtrail in the month of July. According to the Civil Aviation Authority after Flight Options ceased its trading around five pm Kiss Flights which has operations in routes to Egypt, Turkey, Greece and the Canary Islands collapsed.
The Civil Aviation Authority said that thirteen thousand holidaymakers who had their bookings through the company would be able to return home safely and travelers who would board flights that are scheduled before six pm would travel as planned.
The CAA also stated most of the travelers out of those sixty thousand would get refunds.
On Tuesday, at five pm Kiss Flights, the trade name of the Flight Options Limited’s flights based in London ceased its trading.
Flight Options had put up a message in their website stating that they have informed the CAA and were waiting for further advice on the situation.
Kiss runs its operations to countries like Spain, Portugal, Egypt, Turkey, Canary Islands, Cyprus and Greece.
According to a spokesperson of the CAA they are promptly picking up information and holidaymakers who are abroad will be fine. He added saying that they are going to make it sure that everyone returns home safe.
He further said that the CAA is making place arrangements for allowing people to go out for their holidays for the next twenty four hours.
