According to the reports, the oil giant BP has failed to update the oil spill emergency plan in the Gulf of Mexico even after three months of the explosion in the deepwater horizon rig. 11 people had lost their lives in this mishap occurred on 20th April.
The oil firm has faced so much criticism from the US politicians and civilians but even after that the company has not updated its emergency plans to stop the oil spill.
However, this was not the first accident; the company had seen same short of explosion in its Texas plant before few years. BP has agreed that it has not updated its plans and according to the federal agency which is responsible for the offshore drilling, the operators must need to submit their revised plans within 15 days if any change occurs with the drilling prospect.
According to the federal agency of offshore drilling the Gulf of Mexico site, BP is still at risk as it has failed to follow the lawsuit of revising the emergency plans.
