Microsoft's Xbox 360 sales were reported to be way higher than its rival Nintendo Wii in US for the month of July.
This data was released by the research firm NDP Group that stated Microsoft of selling 443,500 units in July, a figure that reported of being way higher than 253,900 Wii units proclaimed by Nintendo in the US. Adding further to it was sales of Sony's PlayStation 3, it also grew over by 76 per cent to 214,500 units in the same month.
The increase in Xbox 360 sales is accounted to the wireless internet functionality available on all new 'slim’ gaming consoles.
NDP Group analyst Anita Frazier said that before this Microsoft held the top position due to its Halo 3 game. Frazier stated: “Xbox 360 was the top-selling hardware platform for the month, driven by sales of the new slim format.”
