Samsung to release fix for GPS issue on Galaxy S

samsung-galaxySouth Korean electronics giant, Samsung which is the maker of smartphone, Galaxy S is working on a fix to address the issues relating to GPS navigation in the device.

The GPS on the device is slow to receive satellite data and shows inaccurate locations sometimes as far as in another town. Samsung has already acknowledged the problem and a fix is expected next month. The company is expected to release both the patch and the instructions to install in six weeks.

Some web portals have recommended a few changes inside the OS to improve the performance however users can choose to wait until the update is released as it is also expected to bring in other upgrades.

The company had earlier that it will find a fix for Samsung Vibrant and Captivate Galaxy S models but did not give the time for the release. However the company through a post on the social networking site, Twitter informing customers that it is currently testing the fix and expects to release it in September.

The company has not given exact date for the release but indicated that it will come put with details and download instructions soon.
