The Head of Hewlett-Packard (HP) Mark V. Hurd has supposedly resigned due a blame based on forged expense claims.
HP had initiated the enquiry Hurd soon after a female contractor was blamed of sexual harassment.
It was further in an examination the firm had accused the Chief with falsified expense claims in order to cover his personal relationship, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Reuters states that the company is still not found any hints of the sexual harassment and various sources claim that Hurd has been held for "settled the matter with the woman" for an unrevealed amount.
Michael Holsten, general counsel of HP stated that Hurd has violated and compromised the business standards of HP is bound to face the consequences.
Hurd through a statement said, "I realized there were instances in which I did not live up to the standards and principles of trust, respect and integrity that I have espoused at HP and which have guided me throughout my career."
