Sales of Bajaj motor cycle went up by 66% in July

BajajBajaj Auto reckoned as India’s second biggest two-wheeler maker has reported that its sales in the month of July went up by sixty six percent amounting to two lacs seventy nine thousand seven hundred and eighty one units.  

The company, in a statement, stated that it has sold three lacs eighteen thousand four hundred and fifteen units of vehicles of all categories in the month of July 2010 against one lac ninety two thousand eight hundred and thirty five units of corresponding period of the last year. The figure reflected a growth of sixty five percent.  

Bajaj Auto added saying that in the July of 2009 it sold one lac sixty eight thousand one hundred and sixty three units.  

The company, in its three wheelers sales saw a rise of sixty percent taking the amount to thirty eight thousand six hundred and thirty four unit as compared to twenty four thousand one hundred and four unit ,sold in the month of June of 2009.

Bajaj Auto Limited saw a growth of fifty six percent in its exports .It exported one lac six thousand seven hundred and ninety four units in the month of July 2010 as compared to sixty eight thousand five hundred and eighty five units of July 2009.

According to BAL, sales of three wheelers and two wheelers get hindered by production constraints but the company is well ahead of their plans, as far as export sales are concerned.

The company’s month –on month total sales in July went up by one percent, reaching the figure of three decimal one eight lacs units from three decimal one five lacs units.

Sonia Shenoy of CNBC-TV 18 said that BAL’s stocks will be under keen observation after its announcement of sales report for the month of July. The company, so far, has reported its highest monthly sales.
