Google's social networking site, Orkut is under scrutiny by Brazilian state prosecutors.
Reuters reports that Orkut is under examinations over the accusations of paedophilia, defamation and false identity.
The state prosecutors have offered Google an extension of 120 days to integrate a new system that stores IP addresses, that is offered via the authorities that helps track images and other contents that is illegitimate, Brazilian daily O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper stated.
Rodrigo Mascarenhas state prosecutor said, "These mechanisms already exist, but Google only stores user information for 30 days. It is a problem the police face when they investigate a crime."
The chief target of this study is supposedly has to do with the allegations of paedophilia, Mr Mascarenhas stated.
Meanwhile the prosecutor added that the search giant must proffer funds in the name for a media campaign that supports issue of "responsible use of the Internet".
