Soon after revamping its popular products: iMac, MacBook, and Mac Mini; Apple today unraveled its new “Magic Mouse”, equipped with multi-touch capability. Expected to catch everyone's attention, Apple is looking to rule the jungle with “the mouse” and turn around things in this product segment after its previous product, “Mighty Mouse” failed to meet the expectations and response.
The product features an entire surface area of multi touch capability, giving the user the flexibility to swipe the finger anywhere on it, generating immaculate results. Its multifarious features include: 360 degrees scrolling capability around a Web page, photo viewer, document reading using a single finger, quick navigate forward and backward option in a Web browser by simply swiping two fingers horizontally across the top of the mouse, and various zooming selections.
The avant-garde product connects to the computer via simple Bluetooth pairing, and is compatible with any Mac running OS X version 10.5.8 or later. Apple's new Magic Mouse inculcates multi- touch technologies which were initially introduced on the niche products like iPhone and MacBook touchpad.
The new-age captivating design has a solid acrylic surface on a low-profile body, without any physical buttons or the scroll ball, unlike Apple's veteran “Mighty Mouse”. The au courant product is expected to generate a fresh consumer base and acceptance.
