Delhi Metro Rail to increase growth in Business by 20 %

Delhi Metro Rail to increase growth in Business by 20 %The business returns at Delhi's most frequented tourists spots owes something to the public transport that has made it easier and faster for people to get to those commercial centers.

While Delhi has always had its share of tourists and local patrons crowding its shopping areas, the Metro Rail has certainly done much to increase the crowds that visit these shopping centers.

The most popular of Delhi's tourist spots - Dilli Haat, Chandini Chowk, Karol Bagh, Gaffar Market are now easier to access through public transport. Given the vast distances in Delhi, good public transport is a must for people getting from one place to another. The ones who feel the lack of good public transport the most are the tourists. A DMRC spokesperson said that a new 12.53 km stretch of underground rail will

Connect the Central Secretariat-Qutub Minar. The rail is expected to be completed and open to the public from August 2010. The north markets in Delhi have also greatly benefited from the INA metro rail. This new stretch from the Central Secretariat to Qutub Minar will certainly improve business in the markets that it covers. The Metro has been planned such that it connects the four most major centers in Delhi. Incidently all these four centers are markets - Sarojini Market, Dilli Haat, Yusuf Sarai Market and Hauz Khas. The INA metro connects these four business centers.

At present the circuit has not been completed. There are parts of these routes that are still unconnected and inconvenient to access. As a result several residential areas surrounding these commercial centers are also unconnected. The INA metro, when completed will concentrate on connecting the four pivotal areas, and the intermediary stops will also help the various residential areas become accessible. The Metro rail is expected to increase the trade percentage in the Delhi markets by a good 20 percent.
