Bhel reported their Q1 net profit of Rs. 667 crore up by 42%

BhelOn Friday, Bhel, the Public sector power equipment supplier Bhel reported that in the first quarter of the current fiscal its net profit was forty two percent higher than the corresponding quarter of the last year. During that period of time, its total income grew by seventeen per cent.

Bhel had reported a net profit of six hundred and seventy seven crores of rupees in the first quarter of April-June. It made a profit of four hundred and seventy crores of rupees in the same quarter of the last year. It also saw a rise in its profit before tax by thirty nine percent amounting to nine hundred and ninety seven crores of rupees in the first quarter.  

The company’s net sales have risen from five thousand five hundred and ninety five crores of rupees to six thousand four hundred and seventy nine crores in this quarter.  

As on the 30th of June 2010 the company has procured order amounting to one lac forty eight thousand crores of rupees.

Bhel recorded its total income in the first quarter of the current financial year amounting to six thousand seven hundred and sixty one crores of rupees. Out of the said amount, power sector had generated five thousand three hundred and ninety nine crores of rupees   

One thousand four hundred and seventy six crores came from industry and one hundred and fifteen crores came from revenues of the internal segments.

Its turnover recorded in 2009-10 amounted to thirty four thousand one hundred and fifty four crores of rupees .The Company in its compounded annual growth rate has grown eighteen decimal six five percent in the last five years. It has also grown in the area of profit after tax, which is in the tune of twenty decimal seven percent in the same period of time.

Bhel’s order book, as on the 31st of March 2010, stood at one lac forty three hundred crores of rupees.
