NVIDIA claims to have acquired the Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Lab certification for its 258.96 range of drivers which apparently will provide support for 3D vision and GeForce GTX 460 GPU.
The company blog stated that the recently released drivers come in handy for notebook PCs that are based on NVIDIA Optimus technology, as in the case of desktops too.
NVIDIA said that the new drivers seeks to offer support for Blu-ray 3D, aiming users with the ability to watch 3D movies on their notebook and desktops.
The company added: "It's pretty clear that Hollywood is going 3D. So, it makes sense that now 3D movies are making their way to Blu-ray disc thanks to NVIDIA 3D Vision technology."
Games such as "Alien v/s Predator", "BattleForge" and "Just Cause 2", seem to offer a better graphics just because of new drivers.
Similarly the advent of 258.96 drivers will boost the video quality, and offer support for multiple GPUs in a single system, at the same time will proffer support for applications based on CUDA Toolkit 3.1 and full OpenGL 4.0 support offering a better experience for game enthusiasts.
