Skype has publicized that it no longer will support mobile VoIP service Fring, and has also warned of taking a legal action.
Fring stated that it would continue to "temporarily reduce support to third-party Skype," accusing Skype of providing a poor service.
Skype immediately sprung into action and send a legal notice to Fring, indicting that the VoIP firm had misused the Skype API and its norms of usage.
The company claims of lodging legal action against Fring soon after users complained that Skype wasn't working properly on the application.
Over here Fring CEO and co-founder Avi Schechter posted: "We are disappointed that Skype, who once championed the cause of openness, is now attempting to muzzle competition, even to the detriment of its own users." He further added an apology directed to the users who were affected by the Skype's bullying and soon seeks to associate with Skype as soon as possible.
Skype in response stated: "Fring's mis-use of our software was increasingly damaging our brand and reputation with our customers."
