IBM has proclaimed of making Firefox as its default browser.
The software corporation offers its 400,000 employees as the default browser for work as making the share jump to a slight higher level.
Statcounter reports that Internet Explorer accounted for 55 percent worldwide market share, with Firefox in second at 29 percent. Google's Chrome is gearing up fast with a growth percentage of 8 percent of market share.
VP of open source and Linux Bob Sutor stated: "Firefox is stunningly standards compliant, and interoperability via open standards is key to IBM's strategy. Firefox is open source and its development schedule is managed by a development community not beholden to one commercial entity."
He further added that Firefox is secure platform and boasts of an international community of experts who provide a customized mode of applications and organizations, like IBM.
Firefox has been acknowledged to be an innovative browser that comes with speed and usability.
