The recent proclamations of doubling down on WebOS, HP allegedly has been stated to be laying off a number of Palm employees over the past few weeks.
According to a statement made by an ex- Palm employee, "We were given our exit envelope Tuesday morning. Our badges stopped working and we were removed from the computer network at 2:00pm that day."
In a similar context he further added that many were handed over the joining letters i. e., the "welcome to HP" letters. For the rest who were handed over with exit letters were out in a situation of dilemma where the rejoining was put into question after the deal (that happened recently).
This in addition to the statement was claimed that amidst the week of June 21st, at a WebOS team meeting, attendees were acknowledged about the 33 current open positions and that the motive of the same was to grow the team by over 100 during the next year.
In further retrospect of the matter HP claimed that it was soon after the integration strategy is over with its pact of functions and operations, one can expect of a turnover in the organization. However Palm employees seem to be ecstatic about their financial stability and global scale aimed to achieve their vision.
HP however claimed of completion of its acquitsion at the same time mentioned its release of WebOS-based tablets, smartphones and netbooks.
