Obama Backs China’s Move on Currency

Barack ObamaPresident Barack Obama told Hu Jintao, the Chinese Leader, that the United States has liked China’s decision for more flexibility about its currency. He said that they expect that China would have more balanced trade.

Obama said that this flexibility would allow the balance in the global economy. The two leaders met at the G20 summit in Toronto. President has invited Hu to the U.S.; however, no particular date has been decided, yet.

Both the leaders confirmed that the recent joint actions to work for international issues have made the relationship of two countries stronger.

Chinese leader Hu Jintao, said that China is looking forward to have a better and stronger communication and coordination between the two nations. Obama also said that a relationship of trust and mutual confidence is a must to deal effectively with the economy and security matters.

Legislators in the U.S are seeking tougher steps to make China revaluate its currency. These law makers want that China should let the U.S. Companies to seek tariffs on the imports from China.

On June 19, the Chinese Government had said that it would have more flexible trade.

Chinese currency, Yuan increased by 0.5 % this week and this is the highest after December 2008.
