According to sources, Morgan Stanley has bought one lakh additional shares of Parkway. Parkway is the leading hospital chain in Singapore. Earlier there was a tussle between Fortis Healthcare and Khazanah to take control of this firm. Khazanah is a Malaysia based firm. But at last Morgan Stanley has managed to buy one lakh more shares.
Morgan Stanley (MS) has been appointed as the independent financial advisor the Singapore firm. Integrated Healthcare Holdings Ltd (IHHL) has also shown interest in the purchase of the shares of the company. Integrated Healthcare Holdings Ltd is the Khazanah's financial arm and has said that the FrontPoint Management will purchase these shares on behalf of the company. FrontPoint Management is one of the investment arms of Khazanah.
As per sources, Morgan Stanley has purchased these shares at a price of SGD 3.78 per share.
After this purchase the total number of shares held by Morgan Stanley in Parkway has gone up to 4.9 lakh shares. This has been informed by Morgan Stanley in a filing at the Singapore Stock Exchange.
