Under a new strategy, Renault Trucks will take help of Volvo Group network in Malaysia, their distributor since 2001, in order to serve its customers and to promote its brand in the future.
With this belief in mind, Renault Trucks officially launched itself within Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd's network today.
The customers of Renault Trucks will be able to take advantage of technical services through the vast and elaborate network that Volvo Trucks has all through the country. It should be noted the aim of Renault Trucks is not to compete with Volvo Trucks, but to concentrate on off-road segments where there is budding market in the mining and quarry business, logging and car carrier.
Eric Leblanc, Managing Director of Renault Trucks Malaysia (also managing director of Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd) said on Thursday that the group sold about 350 trucks
(Volvo and Renault Trucks) last year.
Now, Shah Alam, Prai, Johor Bahru and Kuching, all have sales and services by Renault Trucks.
It has appeared that Dai Lieng Machinery will take on the role of a private dealer to operate Renaults Trucks dealership and services outlets in Miri and Bintulu in Sarawak as well as Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan in Sabah.
